Workplace stress and anxiety affects nearly 80% of the UK's population1 and can take a heavy toll on mental and physical health. With troubling statistics like these, it is important for businesses to provide opportunities for staff to look after their minds and bodies and create a positive work culture.
ParkerSteel hosted a drop-in session on site led by an outside expert, Andrea Betts, who is a Registered Nurse and solution-focused clinical hypnotherapist from Mindcycle Hypnotherapy. Her treatments are particularly effective for those who do not feel comfortable discussing their problems and can help people to resolve anxiety issues and OCD, manage depression, and remove phobias.
While the word 'hypnotherapy' can sometimes have negative connotations, clinical hypnosis simply teaches patients how to enter a deep relaxation state to bring together the intellectual mind and the primitive mind. When this happens, people are able to break cycles of negative behaviour and take back control of their lives. Read more about the 'Two Minds' in another article here.
The drop-in session received positive feedback from attendees who found it to be a calming and deeply relaxing experience.
